About Kennith

Dr. Kennith Freeman earned his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the University of Memphis in 2009.  A graduate of West Memphis Christian High School (1990), Freeman received a Bachelor of Arts from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California (1996) and a Master of Music (2001) from the University of Memphis.

 

As a pianist, Kennith has established himself not only as a soloist, but as a much-desired chamber musician, musical director, and private instructor.  Kennith’s chamber credits include recital performances with members of the internationally-renown New York City Opera Orchestra, as well as distinguished faculty from the University of Memphis, University of Missouri, Kansas City, and the University of Southern Florida.  Freeman’s recent appearances have included venues in Hawaii, Texas, Kansas, Mississippi, Alabama, California, Oregon, Washington, and Marktoberdorf, Germany. 
Kennith can often be found working with students in eastern Arkansas and western Tennessee on various theatrical productions;  credits include Guys and Dolls, Annie, The Secret Garden and Oklahoma!  In addition to his private piano studio, Kennith currently serves as Director of Music and Children’s Ministries at Abundant Grace Ministries in Collierville, Tennessee, and as a member of the music faculty at Mid-South Community College in West Memphis.
